pictures, kennel
Dogs have been domesticated since prehistoric times. They have been widely used in various services. They delivered messages, herded sheep and cattle, pulled sleds over snowy tracts, and rescued people trapped in the snow. There are about several hundred breeds of dogs. They exist in a wide range of sizes, colors, and temperaments. Nowadays they are one of the most widely spread domestic animals. This breed was developed through very selective breeding, and is a very recognizable breed. Its origins are said to come from the Alaunts and Pugnaces of ancient England - the Mastiff and the Pug. Dogs of this breed were used in bull bating. It was a very cruel sport. Bull bating was once popular among royalty and noblemen.
